Advance to Go, Collect $1 Million

Advance to Go, Collect $1 Million
By Kirsty Dunphey and Lynne Payne

Book: $24.95
Ebook: $14.95

Little bit Aussie battler, little bit sassy entrepreneur – Kirsty’s story is truly honest, thoughtful, credible and inspiring. From the cover of BRW to Women’s Money magazine, Kirsty is being sought for comment on not only property issues but across a range of relevant and contemporary issues.

This is more than a story about a young, successful business woman operating a real estate office in Launceston, Tasmania. “Anything is Possible” is a catch phrase that accurately describes this true story showing how a young girl can pull herself and her family out of a situation that almost destroyed them financially and emotionally. From absolutely nothing to owning over $3 million dollars worth of property in under four years, Kirsty’s story shows how it can be achieved.

I loved your books… very easy to read, smooth flowing and the best part was the way you communicate the message across… through your personal experiences. You take the reader with you every step of the way. You make us want to go out there, take action towards our goals and conquer the world… and it all looks achievable. Look forward to your next book.

I'm reading your book at the moment, Advance to Go and it really has put the fire in my belly!! I'm getting very excited and just can't wait to get it [my business] off the ground! Looking forward to reading Retired at 27. It wasn't till I started reading Advance to Go, that I realised I really can do it! So thank you for being an amazingly giving and generous person, you really have changed my life in a profound way. It's not often you come across someone who is so willing to share so much of their success and help others achieve their dreams. I only hope I can do the same for my staff and others too. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors and can't wait to read all about them!!
Melissa Quaife

This is the first book I’ve read by Kirsty, and it inspired me. It was easy to read, and full of hints and tips that I could use in my business. It was fantastic to see how all Kirsty’s hard work paid off! It made me more aware that the $1million goal is within reach, and can be achieved. Look forward to reading book 2!!

I just wanted to send you an email to say thank you, thank you, thank you for your inspirational book, Advance To Go – Collect $1M. It was a truly remarkable, awesome read and for me, came along at just the right time in my life. You are such a little treasure! You personally wrote a nice message in the front of my book, of which I am extremely grateful & so appreciative of your time. Thank you for doing that for me.
Deb Robson
I bought your book Advance to Go last year at a conference last year. I made my two teenage daughters read it first then all the staff in my office - I was so impressed with your attitude and achievements. You are a real inspiration to every young person and the many young people who don't experience the picture perfect start to life. Keep going and keep inspiring!
Kerri Newman
I was given your book Advance to go - Collect $1 Million about a month ago. I have read it twice and enjoyed it even more the second time around. Thank you for sharing your journey and dreams with me through your writing. You are now listed in my book of Life Goals under "people I will meet before I die" (next to Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, Tiger Woods, Robert G Allen and Malcolm Gladwell). Like many of my mentors, you are inspiring me and motivating me without even realising it! I look forward to reading your next book. Thank you again and may your positive energy spread across the world!

Just a quick email to say thank you for giving young Australian women a strong and positive role model in the business world. I'm 22 years old and have just settled on my second property, I spent my younger years (18 to 21) selling real estate in Brisbane and was saddened that I hadn't heard of your story then when it would have been a great motivator. Still, for all the women out there working hard to establish themselves in business or the workplace you're a shining example of what hard work and unshakeable vision can manifest into. I look forward to reading your book in the near future and thanks again for the positive affirmations - there can never be too many out there if you ask me!

I have finished reading your book Advance to Go after receiving it on Monday afternoon in the mail. I have always felt that Customer Service and going that extra millimetre will set me out from the rest. As I embark on my real estate career I am now convinced that the greatest asset I have and what I can offer to my future clients is to give exceptional Customer Service and treat them with empathy and respect, just as I would like to be treated when I need help. Coming from a purely Customer Service background, I was not sure how I could utilise my skills in my new career but through reading your book I see that everything I need to succeed, I already possess. Thank you for clarifying that for me through your book and making me see that the only limitations to my success are the ones I create in my head.
Sandra Barbato
Just a quick note. I received my book order yesterday and finished reading your book, Advance to Go, in one day!!! Wow... Fabulous! After reading your book (and now I am onto Jan Somers book), I am sooooooooooooooooo inspired and ready to light the fire that has always been with me and live the life I was put on this earth to live. Thank you.
Angela Ratcliffe
I just finished reading Advance to Go, Collect $1 Million. It arrived today, I got home from work at 5, and had read it thoroughly by 7, I couldn’t put it down! Considering that exactly what Kirsty has done in Tassie, I want to do here in SA, being young and female and all, it was so inspiring to read this book. All I have heard from people is that I am too young to be a real estate salesperson, let alone a real estate agent, managing my own company. So to read that she has done it at the same age I am now is awesome. I love the way the book was written too, and I am so motivated now after reading it, she is my new idol! I would love to hear more about how she is going, so I have signed up for the weekly newsletter, and I just wanted to say thank you for providing me with great inspiration. I love it!
Skye Taylor
Hi Kirsty, Thank you for sending me your book Advance to Go, Collect $1 Million. I have finished the book and would like to thank you for your inspiration in getting me focused on achieving financial freedom.
Sharon Purnell
This is one of the best inspirational books I have read in a long time, she has so much knowledge and know how and as a young person in this industry this book has shown me that there is so much more I can do.
Jasmine Borromei
I have so far read your book Advance to Go – Collect $1Million and found it very inspiring. It made me thing about my situation and although I’m not in the real estate business (I run my own virtual assistant business from home), it gave me some ideas on how to boost my clientele. So thanks very much. You are a true inspiration not only to myself but I’m sure for a lot of people. Thanks.
Maria Zito
It sounds terribly gushy, but you truly are an inspiration and have been so to me since I first read about you – naturally I haven’t been able to help myself from dipping into the book already, and I have to agree with Lynne Payne – you have the effect of getting me DOING things!! So, thank you.
Ginny Daniels
Just a quick note to also say that I have finished one book - "Advance to Go - Collect $1 million" - I loved it! Made lots of notes and reminders to myself and will certainly go back and read it for reference again.
Kerri Dick
Have read your book and now have three people lined up to borrow it! Love the writing style, very ‘user friendly’ and very motivating.
Kathy Farquhar
I have just finished your book and really enjoyed it. It is very genuine, down to earth and practical and also very inspiring. Congratulations on all your successes, long may they continue! Thanks again for a wonderful speech at AREC and a great book! Best wishes,
Jo Gates
I am 15 doing Year 11 at school. I first heard about you in a motivational movie we watched at school. It got me so excited hearing about someone like me and possibly can relate to a great deal, getting involved in business at such a young age. I came home, looked at your website and insisted on getting your book. This morning dad gave it to me with a message from you inside "Hannah, Dream big - nothing is out of your reach". In an instant I was at the computer thinking of a new name and design for my business as I had been thinking about doing for the last month. Thanks Kirsty, I believe you will be a big stepping stone in my life and I look forward to hearing from you.
Hannah Dalby
I would like to firstly compliment you on your book ‘Advance to Go’ - an inspirational read. I always pick it up when I need a boost! My director bought it for me after we saw you and the NZ Harcourts Conference in Christchurch where you were an exceptional speaker.
Andrea Ryan
I read your book on Sunday and couldn't put it down from start to finish. I was truly inspired by your approach to life and your career and will be keeping an eye on your website for your next public appearance in Melbourne.
Jessica Fryer
Sharing momentarily in your experience gave me a lift and a persevering mindset to continue plunging forward with calm, steady patience.
Trisha Campbell
I have had this annoying urge to send an email to you for the past couple of hours and it is only 7.55am. I have just began to read your book 'Advance to go - Collect $1million'. The urge got the better of me around page 63 and I had to put the damn book down and head off to my PC... Thank-you Kirsty for telling your story (even if I'm only up to page 63). I do read a lot of books and yours is the only one that made me stop in my tracks and send an email! This is not the last you will hear from me. I am committed to Harcourts and the Industry and am planning on making a change within at least my office for the better.
Nikkie E. Bates
I just wanted to say how much I am enjoying reading your book. Our organisation is very new - we have been operating for just over a year and I was really interested to hear how you started. I really believe that you have to be 100% motivated in order to make any company work and customer service or (client service as it is with us) is No. 1 on our list of priorities.
Melinda Carlisle
Really just a BIG THANK YOU for the book, I have enjoyed reading it and getting or re-enforcing ideas that I had from the presentations.
Liz Lewis
You won't remember me, but I was chatting to you in the lobby before you spoke at the Women At Work function on the Gold Coast a few years ago (must have been 2002 or 03!) Wow time flies! I was talking to you as I had been working in the same office for 8 years or so then, and my goal was to one day own it. Well as you said in your speech, its only you that has a say in whether or not your dreams become a reality and I am proud to say that in 2004 I took over the business. How exciting, and scary, and liberating - but you know all that! So the reason I am writing is for 2 reasons - 1 so you know that you do make a difference (but I must say it was a competitive nature that made me reach for my dream - if she can do it, I can do it!!!!), and the 2nd reason is that I am actually writing a book, and I needed a tip from you on how you get published. You truly do make a difference to me, for so many reasons, but when the going gets tough for me I do think of your story, and what you have achieved at your (our) age, and I think well my age isn't an excuse, being female isn’t an excuse, being in a small town isn't an excuse. Thanks again.
Tanja Kraus
I don't know whether or not you remember me from ARPM, but I bought your book. I finished it last night and wanted to drop you a line. It was very inspiring and uplifting. I really enjoyed every page. You have led an interesting life up till now and I just know that things will forge so far ahead for you. There will be no stopping you and I think that is fantastic. You have helped me stay motivated and positive about being the best Property Manager in Albury/Wodonga. I think you are an amazing person and deserve the very best in life, I hope you get it all. Thanks for your enthusiasm and zest.
Sherryn Orr
I will follow the RED advice from your book! Your book was a true testament to self belief – thank you, it was a book I needed to read and the timing was great. I am full of determination to improve myself and my work in real estate.
Sally McKay
I certainly enjoyed the script and certainly can appreciate your road to today's current successes. You mentioned early on about if taking one good point from a book makes the read worthwhile, I gathered several, thanks. Your mother must be a rock, it's nice to see that tight families still exist. I'm getting my daughter to read as I think she has a similar determination to move forward as you. Thanks again.
Chris Harvey
Firstly I would like to congratulate you on your book "Advance to Go - Collect $1 million". I have just recently finished reading the book and found your experiences both educational and inspiring. I have recommended your book to all our staff (25 people) and I have offered them my copy so there are no excuses!
Greg Tate
Thank you so much for the card & for the inspirational quotes (now stuck above my desk). But I really want to thank you for writing your book. I am only half way through but am really enjoying it & have told everyone in the office about it. It is fantastic to finally have someone to relate to…especially as we are the same age. I have so many new ideas (from ARPM & from your book) that I want to put into place in our business & have even expanded some to suit our business. I really do want to congratulate you on your presentation at ARPM & for your book. Whilst I really enjoyed ARPM I actually found that over the 2 days I was feeling like there was so much I should be doing & wanted to do but didn’t feel it was possible. Anyway…..long story short, when I started reading your book the next day, I realized that you can start change from any point & I read that you really started off from scratch. I am now working on my own confidence & have decided that I will not let this opportunity go to waste, it may be a longer process than for some but one by one, I will put my ideas into action. So, keep up the good work. HIGH FIVE for the motivational speaking – nervous or not, you are great at it.
Super Inspired! (AKA Victoria Benson)
My name is Rebecca Lawler and I am 17 years old, I started working for Harcourts when I was 14 years old. As soon as I heard about your book I wanted a copy so my boss got me a copy at the 2005 conference I read it that same week I couldn’t close the cover once I had started. It was a great story proving everything I believe in successful young women in real estate and you're living proof. So many people have told me that it won’t happen and you're too young. I have never listened to any of them and now reading your book has just given me even more motivation to follow my dreams because I believe my goals will come true. Kirsty you have achieved so many great things in the industry, your book was fantastic and extremely motivating, thank you for sharing your story with me.
Rebecca Lawler
I have just finished your book and wanted to drop a line (My good friend Wendy Rigby sent it to me). It was a great read, for me very easy to relate to being in the real estate industry, and something I learnt from. The energy oozing from the pages is infectious and I have already started on implementing some of your great ideas (RED is brilliant!!).
Lindsay Earnshaw
Just a short note to say a huge thank you for the inspiration given to me from reading your book. It was near impossible to put down and enjoyed burying my head in it during my lunch break! You have definitely given me the desire to start setting myself goals and start knocking them over. I hope to come back to you in a couple of years with a story of my own! Also thank you for the note in the front cover.
Linda Wilson
I finally got to read your book last week; What an inspiring story… Your book should be required reading for High School students across the country. I wish I had something like this to read when I was 15. You could have easily chosen to be a victim of circumstance but instead you didn’t let anyone or anything stand in your way.
Dion Flanagan
I have just finished reading your book "Advance To Go & Collect 1 Million". I have found this book to be most down to earth & helpful in informing potential businesses how to be successful. Not only was this book informative with practical solutions, it was also very personal & moving. When you have your back to the wall there is only one way for you to go & you did it well. I wish you, your business & your personal life continuous success.
Len Kromkamp
Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed the book, I was feeling ordinary with a cold today so thought I'd leave work early, calling in via your office to purchase the book today. It was so good I couldn't put it down (read it cover to cover), there are only 2 other books I've ever read in one session.
Ken Upchurch
I went to the hairdressers last night and unlike most people it is a necessary evil which I do not enjoy. I had in my bag your book. The 2 hours sitting in the chair flew by and before I knew it the girls had cut, coloured and dried my hair and I was on the way home. On arrival I immediately picked up the book again and to cut a long story short, I did not put it down until I had completed reading from cover to cover. Congratulations - I thoroughly enjoyed the read. I found it extremely well written, interesting, informative and enjoyable. An inspiration. Thank you and well done.
Pam Corkhill
I expected information on investing, property, sales and your rise to fame which was all detailed. What I was pleasantly surprised to read was the candid way in which it was all written, the bare facts about the far from perfect family life and the clear message that you weren't telling anyone else how "it" was done, just encouraging them to do "it". Congratulations, not only have you successfully completed your first book, but it's an entertaining read without lecturing the public on how to achieve greatness. For me personally, I take away from it the optimism that anything really is possible!! Thanks for making me think.
Candice Gillies
I found the writing style made the book easy to read. Including inspirational quotes, checklists for buying property and lessons on customer service made the book appealing to a broad range of readers. What did I get from the book? If I was starting in property investment or starting a business, the advice in the book is valuable as a starting point where Kirsty shares her experiences and techniques for success. One of my favourite chapters included great marketing techniques that don't cost a bomb. She introduced me to a new acronym - RED (Rip-off, Expand, Duplicate) for finding something that already works for others. I recommend this book to anyone looking for an inspirational story that had me wondering why I hadn't achieved what she had at the same age and then asking myself what's stopping me now? I will be giving it to my kids to read!
Tony McCombs
I thoroughly enjoyed both of your books, and I will be re-reading them, so thank you for your wonderful efforts. I also subscribe to your newsletter, which I find very inspirational. I couldn't put your books down until I'd read them through. I found it amazing when you said that a lot of people don't get past the first couple of pages. I also loved Monopoly as a child, so it was funny to read your books and find that you also loved it. I used to continually pester my family to play it with me. Thank you for sharing your experiences & wisdom. Keep them coming!
